Welcome to The Friends of Mount Edgcumbe Country Park website

The Friends of Mount Edgcumbe Country Park (FMECP) is a registered Charity (No. 295261) consisting of like-minded people who love the Park and wish to see it presented and improved for the enjoyment of all.

To this end the Friends work in conjunction with Park management to encourage the Park’s use and development.   A key activity of the Friends is to raise funds for special projects and over the years the Friends have donated well over £100,000 to support and maintain the House and Park.

A wide range of social and other interesting events are held by the Friends, in addition to those run by Mount Edgcumbe House & Park.  These include concerts, the annual Classic Car show, themed meals and BBQs, outings and special events for children.

Fund raising events are held throughout the year which all Friends are welcome to attend and assist with.  Members receive preferential booking status for all Friends’ events that have limited capacity, and a discounted booking fee.  The Friends’ Journal is published three times a year which members receive free of charge.  Membership of the Friends also entitles you to free entry to Mount Edgcumbe House and The Earl’s garden (when the House is open) and annual parking tickets can be purchased at reduced rates.

The Friends open their Lodge close to the Orangery on Saturdays, Sundays and Bank Holiday Mondays from April to October to raise funds and attract new members. The Lodge is staffed by volunteers from the Friends.  Contact us via this web site or visit the Lodge if you’d like to know more about us.
