Sun, 20 May, 2018. Breakwater Trip

Please note that the Breakwater Trip is now FULLY BOOKED

It is five years since we ran a trip to the Breakwater, so we are arranging another one (subject to the QHM permission) on Sunday 20th May. Meeting at Cremyll at 10.00am we will have our own chartered boat to get away promptly by 10.30am. Depending on the conditions on the day we may be able to have about a two-hour visit on the breakwater itself. It is anticipated that we will arrive back at about 1.30pm.

If you are a Friend of Mt Edgcumbe Country Park or Plymouth City Museum and would like to join this tour, be advised that it entails the ascent and descent from and to the boat on to a 6-8 foot vertical metal ladder to access the breakwater, and this could be wet and or slippery - good footwear is therefore essential! Numbers are being restricted to 50 due to the time it takes for everyone to climb up and down the ladder!

Reservations can be made by email in the first instance to Nigel Bruce-Robertson (bruce.robertson950@btinternet.com) and bookings will be confirmed when your payment* has been received. The cost will be £13 per member (FoMECP & Plymouth City Museum), and after 28th February 2018, members may book up to four non-members as their guests at £16 each. No reduction for Juniors.

Cheques to be made payable to FoMECP and sent to Nigel Bruce-Robertson.

(* Note, no refund will be made in the event we are unable to actually land on the breakwater)
