Becoming a Friend of Mount Edgcumbe Country Park has some great benefits, the key ones are shown below …

  • Free entry to local buildings of historical and cultural interest
    Free entry to Mount Edgcumbe House and the Earl’s Garden in the Upper Park at Cremyll during the open season. (Please note that free entry does not include special events such as the annual Christmas Fayre.)

    Also Free entry to the Elizabethan House, the Merchant’s House and Smeaton’s Tower in Plymouth*.

  • Half-price entry for your guests
    A 50% discount on the entry price is available to your friends and family when they accompany you to the House and Earl’s Garden at Mt Edgcumbe.

  • Member discounts
    A 20% discount is available on the list price of gift items bought from the Barrow Park Gift Shop near the House, in the Upper Park. (Please note that the discount only applies to gifts, not food or books and is not available at the other trading outlets within the Park.)

    Also, a 10% discount is available in the Plymouth Museum Café and shop (excludes book purchases)*
    Also a 10% discount on adventure Segway.

  • Friends’ Journal
    Three issues of the Friends’ Journal are sent by post and/or (on request) by email each year, free of charge.

  • Social events
    Social and fund-raising events are held throughout the year. All Friends are welcome to attend and assist with these. Members receive early notice and preferential booking for all Friends’ events that have limited capacity, plus a discounted booking fee.

    Also, Friends of Mt Edgcumbe are invited to join Friends of Plymouth City Museum and Art Gallery events*

  • Volunteering
    Friends are able to help out in the House and Park with various activities, from archiving in the House to gardening in the grounds. See the VOLUNTEERING page for more details.

* Reciprocal arrangement with The Friends of Plymouth Museum and Art Gallery.

Membership fees
There is no joining fee and annual subscription is as follows:
Single £7, Couple £12, Family £15, Life membership (individual only) £100
